Role:
This role is essential in ensuring that the mortgage closing process runs smoothly, and that all legal and financial aspects are handled accordingly. Review of loan documentation, coordinates and completes all the mortgage loan closings passed from processing. This position will coordinate with members, the appropriate vendors,
contractors, or other 3rd parties to initiate the required services for closing of mortgage loans.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Review and verify all loan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and lender policies.
Coordinates closing process with all parties involved, including, closing agents, real estate agents and members.
Create and prepare all necessary closing documents including the closing disclosure, mortgage and note.
Funding/booking loan by ensuring all at time of closing conditions have been addressed and disburse funds as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:
1. Ensures all closing loan documents, and funding reports are accurate and compliant.
2. Provides informed, professional and accurate service, communication and support to all involved parties of the closing transaction.
3. Organizes and completes member closing loan documents for timely delivery to closing agent, and/or
Mortgage Loan Originator for Home Equity closings.
4. Maintains working knowledge of all mortgage products, both within the Credit Union and for the industry.
5. Funding/booking systems i.e. MERS, FNMA, Servicing platform are completed with little to no errors.
6. Complies with all applicable rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC, CFPB
and Physical Security.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills:  Must have good communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Ten key calculator, typewriter and keyboard skills. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and meet deadlines. Normally expected to work between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but may be required to work nights and/or weekends. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations
Physical Requirements: The position is based in-office in our Pensacola, FL market, operates primarily in an office setting, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. This position requires consistent presence in the office to effectively collaborate
with team members and fulfill job responsibilities. It requires the ability to actively participate in conference calls and meetings with other Credit Union team members and
vendors.
