Calling all Registered Nurses:

Are you a Registered Nurse with a few years of experience that enjoys what you do but would love to acquire some new super powers?  What about working a Monday - Friday daytime schedule?  How about using your skills to assist our Director of Nursing supervise, manage, and lead  our team of home health care Nurses, PT's, OT's, CNA's, and Home Health Aides?  If this sounds like a path you and your career would benefit from, then maybe the Assistant Director of Nursing opening created by a promotion is for you.  

Located in Troy, Ameristaff Nursing Services has been around for over 40 years.  We are a full-service home care company that includes separate durable medical equipment and Medicare Home Health divisions.  Come be a main contributor to the overall organization, philosophy, and direction of services received by our home health care patients..

Here are a few activities:

  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned caseload of patients and developed, implements and updates comprehensive, goal focused, care plan for each patient.
  • Provide clinical supervision of the field RN, LPN, PT, OT, HHA/CNA, and Coordinating staff
  • Prepares and maintains clinical documentation according to Agency policies and acceptable nursing standards. Assess the reports from the Field RN, PT and OT (NON OASIS)
  • Identify the need for other services within the patient’s insurance coverage (PT, OT, additional RN visits, more home health care cover, etc.)
  • Provides instruction/guidelines to home health aides providing health and personal care services, including ongoing supervision and evaluation of the services delivered.
  • Work as a team with the other RN’s to preform in-services and staff training
  • Manage day-to-day operations when the Director of Nursing is not present
  • Initiates and maintains continuous contact with the patient’s physician to report the patient’s response to home care, any changes in status, or possible need to additional services.

Some things that could help you land this role:

  • 2 years of home health care experience, supervisory a plus
  • Ability to train internal and external employees on new skills
  • Excellent IV Skills
  • Excellent communication, documentation, supervisory, and management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Valid Michigan RN License (required)
  • Knowledge of acute care or rehabilitation
