As a Working student in Power Electronics, you will play a key role in advancing high-performance energy systems by conducting precise measurements and simulations. Your analytical skills will help uncover unknown physical behaviors and optimize device performance. Through close collaboration with our expert team, you’ll contribute to the seamless integration of innovative technologies. Your structured documentation will ensure lasting knowledge transfer and support future development. With every test and evaluation, you’ll help shape the future of sustainable power electronics (electric mobility, renewable energy, data centers and much more).
Are you passionate about electronics and power modules? The R&D department of Semikron Danfoss in Ismaning (north of Munich) is looking for a motivated Working student to enhance the capabilities of our laboratory infrastructure for power electronics development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform characteristic measurements of power electronic devices
- Data processing and evaluation of measurements
- Collaborate with our team of renowned experts to ensure seamless integration and functionality of development
- Document your process and results for future reference and team knowledge sharing
- Develop tests that help investigate physical behaviors in electronic components and circuits
- Document and describe the data and findings comprehensively
- Simulation of devices and system performance using Simulink or similar tools
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- First hands-on experience using laboratory instruments; knowledge of Oscilloscopes and Probing is beneficial
- Basic knowledge of high-power electronic devices and SiC technology is advantageous
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
