Job Summary:

Responsible for creating new automated measuring routines (i.e. CMM, VICI, NIKON, Surfcom, etc.) in support of production processes, as well as the maintenance & modification of existing measurement routines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurate and efficient engineered programming of automated measuring equipment machines.
• Develops set-up sheets, identifies tooling, tooling availability and responsible for tool life management.
• Design or assist in the design of jigs, tools, standard holding fixtures utilizing 3D Model development.
• Identify excessive cost, develop methods for cost reductions, and implement identified cost reductions.
• Responsible for validation/integrity of automated measuring equipment programs and DNC file system.
• Develop inspection plans, utilizing tool mapping to reduce inspection.
• Support new product launches.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED. CQT or CQI certificate preferred.

Experience:

• 1-3 years in Browne & Sharpe/Hexagon, PC DMIS CAD++ experience. Zeiss Calypso or VICI software experience.
• 3-6 years in Quality Inspection preferred.
