MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

This position will be based in Mumbai, India.

Reporting to Vice President, Asia Tax, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:

  •  Assisting the team in global FATCA/CRS reporting process for the group, help in relevant internal control process, which includes:

  •  Preparing / Refreshing FATCA/CRS forms for our group entities whenever necessary.

  •  Communicating with fund administrators in relation to data reporting.

  •  Co-ordinating the annual reporting in 10-15 jurisdictions.

  •  Co-ordinating WP and RO Certification and maintaining FATCA sponsoring agreement

  •  FATCA and CRS forms collection, review & validation. Following up with investors if forms are invalid.

  •  Identifying reportable investors for FATCA, CRS and CRS Compliance Form.

  •  Liaising with global Client Relation teams to monitor investor change in circumstances that would require collection of documentation if needed and maintaining the data on day-to-day basis.

  •  Yearly GIIN validation of investors and counterparties.

  •  Re-solicitation every 3 years for expired forms.

  •  Monitoring of new legal entity creation and classification for FATCA and CRS.

  •  Monitoring of local tax country requirements for legal entity maintenance.

  •  Assisting in other Finance / Tax related ad hoc projects when required.

  •  Fluent spoken and written English language.

  •  Excellent academic qualifications, holding / attempting professional qualification such as CPA,

  • ACCA and /or experience with, Tax Advisors or Big 4 accounting firms or equivalent is preferred.

  •  3-5 years relevant working experience; candidates with commercial experience in asset management / insurance / finance services sector, and experience in FATCA/CRS activities, will have advantage.

  •  Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and technical abilities.

  •  Self-motivated, proactive, organized, innovative and flexible, a good team player, and be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

  •  Strong Excel skills are essential for this role
