CNA I bei Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital

Performing a variety of duties relating to direct and/or indirect patient care and the environment of care; as directed by a registered nurse. These duties may include, but not be limited to, transporting patients, environment of care duties and ordering/stocking supplies. 

Education and Formal Training: High School graduate or equivalent.  Completion of the approved Nurses Aide I course.  Current North Carolina Aide registry listing verified through the N.C. Division of Facility Services as a CNA I with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of property.  Or current North Carolina Nurses Aide registry listing verified through the N.C. Division of Facility Services and five years of previous full time experience working a CNA.  Will have current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire date.  New employees required to have certification will be expected to have current certification at new hire or obtain within 30 days of hire date.  They will be given one month grace period for completing BLS renewal.  If not renewed by the end of this one month the employee will not be allowed to work or use PTO.

Work Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Commensurate with completion of CNA I training.  Competent in delivering safe and effective patient care within the legal limits of certification and hospital policies and procedures.  Some knowledge of nursing measures used to provide personal hygiene and comfort; procedures and techniques in giving simple treatment in providing bedside nursing care.  Some ability to physically, mentally, and emotional perform activities involved in this.
