Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Part-Time Pharmacist to support our pharmaceutical operations. The role involves overseeing medication preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting pharmacy technicians in maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality in all pharmacy-related activities.
This position is ideal for professionals looking for flexible hours while contributing their expertise in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions, medication orders, and compounded products for accuracy, safety, and compliance.
- Oversee and guide pharmacy technicians in compounding, labeling, and dispensing medications.
- Ensure adherence to FDA, USP <797>/<800>, GMP, and state board regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation of all pharmaceutical activities, including batch records and quality checks.
- Monitor inventory, manage controlled substances, and ensure safe storage of medications.
- Provide guidance on sterile compounding, hazardous drug handling, and quality assurance procedures.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and internal compliance reviews.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in pharmacy operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) required; Master’s preferred.
- Current and valid pharmacist license.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, preferably in a hospital, manufacturing, or compounding setting.
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding, controlled substances, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time role and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with electronic pharmacy systems and MS Office applications.
