Description: The American Red Cross Pacific Islands Region serves Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Through the dedication of its volunteers and donors, it provides lifesaving blood, delivers international humanitarian aid, teaches essential life-saving skills, and supports military members, veterans, and their families—turning compassion into action every day.

Public Transportation: Bus 200 runs between Chaminade and the American Red Cross Pacific Islands Region

Direct Report: Career Pathway and Success Coach (Federal Work-Study Coordinator)

Indirect Report: Senior Volunteer Recruitment Specialist, American Red Cross Pacific Islands Region

4. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support daily operations by maintaining facilities, landscaping, and outdoor displays.
• Assist with office organization, storage management, shredding, and general cleaning.
• Provide setup, teardown, and logistical support for meetings, events, and seasonal displays.

• Current Chaminade student
• Federal Work-Study eligibility through Chaminade
  • Unfortunately, due to this requirement, Marianist Exchange Program participants from Chaminade's sister universities are ineligible to apply.
• 2.0 GPA or higher (must maintain)

7. Physical Requirements

This position may involve light physical activity in both indoor and outdoor settings. Successful candidates should be comfortable alternating between standing and sitting, as well as navigating stairs and sloped walkways. They should also be comfortable lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Strong motor skills and clear, effective communication are essential.

8. Other Requirements

• This is a part-time, non-exempt employment position. Successful candidates may work up to 19 hours per week; however, employment is on an as-needed basis. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to a varied schedule are essential.
