Duties

What to Expect: Serves as the assistant Branch Manager of the Vending and Micro Markets Branch with an annual sales volume of more than $10M with an expectation to grow revenues and profits. Will work under the direct supervision of the Vending and Micro Market Branch Manager and will be responsible for carrying out the direction of the branch manager and Services Division. Responsible for developing and overseeing effective training and supervising personnel to include vending route supervisors, micro market supervisors, mechanic supervisors, vending machine attendants, and mechanics. Works with the Vending and Micro Market Branch Manager to evaluate business strategies to strategically schedule vending machine movement and installation of new micro markets across multiple installations. Works alongside the Vending Management Systems Operations Manager (VMS) and third-party Party VMS Help Desks to trouble shoot problems. Assists in fiscal activities, including the development and administration of an operating and capital budget. This is a mixed position, requiring the ability to independently lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds, and to assist with items over 45 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business management or a related field AND two years of experience in the occupation or in a related field such as vending, retail, or food distribution; OR a combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates possession of the knowledge and skills equivalent to those typically gained through the degree and experience described above; OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and ability equivalent to that gained in the above. At least 2 years of supervisor experience is required, within a large-scale vending, retail, or food distribution environment. Must possess a strong operational background and demonstrated ability to lead a large and diverse workforce. Must show the ability to manage, plan, coordinate, and achieve goals and financial objectives. This includes analyzing financial reports and connecting performance data to operational outcomes. Able to identify trends and implement improvements through innovative marketing, personnel management, and retail execution. Knowledge of business process controls, systems development, and customer-focused operations is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
