About the Role:
The Superintendent - Field is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards. The Superintendent will enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies while fostering a productive and collaborative work environment. They will also monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders to align project goals. Ultimately, the Superintendent ensures that the physical construction aligns with design specifications and client expectations, contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects in Freeport, TX.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision or field management roles.
- Proven knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams on large-scale construction sites.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification such as OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health or equivalent safety training.
- Experience working in industrial or heavy civil construction projects.
- Familiarity with project management software and construction scheduling tools.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Associate Constructor (AC).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily field operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements on the construction site.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project milestones, budgets, and timelines, providing regular progress reports.
- Manage subcontractors and labor teams to optimize productivity and resolve any on-site conflicts or delays.
- Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
- Facilitate communication between field personnel, management, and clients to address concerns and update project status.
- Identify potential risks or issues early and implement corrective actions to mitigate impact on project delivery.

The Superintendent will utilize strong organizational and leadership skills daily to coordinate complex construction activities and lead diverse teams effectively. Communication skills are essential for liaising with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
