Position Summary:
The University of Toledo Physicians is seeking a per-diem provider to join the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Toledo Medical Center, an established level 2 trauma center. Candidates must be board certified in Anesthesiology with an active medical license from the Ohio Board of Medicine with a demonstrated interest in the standards of medical care, resident and medical student education, and clinical, teaching and administrative duties as required by the Department of Anesthesiology of the University of Toledo.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assess, prepare, and provide patient care in anesthesiology; mentor and instruct medical students and residents in the discipline of anesthesiology.
- Participate in educational, clinical research, and administrative assignments as required by the Department of Anesthesiology
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- MD or equivalent required
- License and/or Certification:
- Board Certified or Board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position
- Skills:
- Experience in collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
