About the Role:

The Quality Specialist provides support in an administrative capacity and assists with tasks that are integral to resolving all reported quality concerns. The ideal candidate needs to be detail oriented and assertive, possessing strong follow-up skills. This person would hold a high sense of urgency and be cognizant of timeliness in all situations. As unique opportunities present themselves, the Quality Specialist must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, and public image.
Primary Responsibilities
- Respond and handle any of the types of tasks below or others as requested by the Quality Coordinator:
- Address phone calls, emails, and voicemails regarding quality concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaboratively investigate all reported quality issues from start to finish. This may include phone calls, follow-up emails, in person meetings, testing, etc.
- Receive and manage initial reporting of quality incidents and as well as pertinent follow-up.
- Data entry of quality information into Kalmbach’s internal system
- Request feed samples from the appropriate plant for quality testing.
- Field questions from team members regarding the quality process. This can include questions from customer service, invoicing, Atlas Help, or other departments.
- Review the QARFs entered by other team members and update/follow up as needed.
The Right Candidate:
- Holds at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Has the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Possess an elevated level of self-structure and organization.
- Exhibits exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Has strong diligence and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer aptitude to include Word and Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems, warehouse management software, supply chain management software and SharePoint a plus.
