Speech-Language Pathologist – Outpatient Pediatrics
Location: Corning, NY | Department: Rehabilitative Services

At Arnot Health, we are committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Rehabilitative Services team. This position focuses primarily on pediatric patients, with opportunities to also support adults in an outpatient setting. You’ll play a key role in helping patients of all ages reach their highest potential in communication and swallowing function.


What You’ll Do

  • Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for pediatric and adult patients.

  • Provide direct therapy in an outpatient clinic setting, focusing primarily on pediatrics.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, strategies, and home programming.

  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Participate in departmental projects, in-service education, and ongoing professional development.

  • Support the growth of innovative programs and services within outpatient speech therapy.


What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.

  • Eligible for New York State licensure and registration.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain.

  • One to two years of pediatric or hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric practicum experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 90 days of hire).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Standing for extended periods; occasional lifting, positioning, or transferring of patients and equipment.

  • Exposure Category I: potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
