Focus of the role 

To put it simply, this role is all about making the work better. The focus is providing the strategic spark that will lead to creative leaps, giving our agencies the best briefs and partnering with them all the way through execution to make the work the best it can be.

What You’ll Do 

In this role, you will:  

  • Provide the strategic vision for our brand and the strategic thinking that guides our creative output.

  • Craft the creative briefs that matter most and raise the standard of brief-writing across the entire team.

  • Partner closely with our Brand and Marketing Communications COE and In-House Agency, providing strategic support throughout the process and raising the strategic capability of our people.

  • Partner closely with our agencies, providing them with clear strategic feedback and working closely with them to solve creative problems.

  • Write great decks, but not hide behind them. This role is hands-on, in the work, making it better every step of the way.

  • Play a key role in our Creative Excellence Program, including the marking of creative outputs, creative feedback to teams, training to build creative capability and sharing inspiration from the world’s best work.

  • Lead our approach to creative effectiveness and oversee the writing of effectiveness cases and papers.

  • Be a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team helping to shape the strategic direction, culture and capabilities of the Marketing function and team. 

  • Authentically collaborate and build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

About you  

To be successful in this role, you’ll need: 

  • To have been a senior and accomplished agency planner/strategist, client side brand strategist, or both.

  • To be passionate about the creative work and your strategic craft.

  • To have a reel/body of work that is truly world class and be able to explain your role in creating it.

  • To know how to write an effie paper (and have won a few).

  • A strong point of view about brands, creativity and culture.

  • To set high creative standards and have a continuous improvement mindset, with the coaching skills to make others better.

  • A high level of stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner and collaborate well with peers and to influence executive leaders.
