Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Supervisor: Director of Supported Living
Department: Residential
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary: Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary
environment in the Baker Center and surrounding area.
Essential duties:
- Vacuum all carpeted areas.
- Clean the breakroom and R&R including:
- Wipe all tables and seats with dampened cloths
- Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash
- Wipe off counters, clean refrigerator/microwave
- Clean and stock the restrooms as follows:
- Clean Sinks
- Clean toilets
- Stock tissue paper
- Stock hand towels
- Sweep floors
- Remove trash
- Mop floors
- Clean glass on the doors, windows, and mirrors.
- Sweep and mop non-carpeted areas.
- Collect and remove trash and dirty laundry from restrooms, offices, and other rooms.
- Pick up trash outside the facility
- Shovel snow and apply ice melt products on all sidewalks and stairs when necessary due to ice or snow.
- Clean and maintain the area near and around the dumpster.
- Follow all work instructions that pertain to the sanitation technician job description.
- May be required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and if required lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
- All other duties as deemed necessary.
- Additional hours if needed are mandatory.
