Come Join our Team as a Full Time Line Cook at our Luxury Memory Care and Assisted Living Facility in Mason (The Cottage Mason)!
The Cook must provide for the organized, consistent and timely performance of all aspects of line execution from a restaurant model (grill, sauté, fry, and broil). Take verbal orders from cook expediting tickets, read and execute ticket orders, and be able to perform and organize simultaneous multiple plate execution in an appealing manner at the direction of the Director of Culinary or Sous Chef. Must be approachable, hospitality driven, and cooperative in dealing with both staff and resident issues.

You bring a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) and at least 2 years of accounting experience.

- Prepare fresh, nutritious, appealing, and delicious meals for our residents, team members, prospective residents, families and guests.
- Follow plans and menus, and execute meals on time with minimal supervision.
- Identify and report food and supply needs for the next week’s menu.
- Notify Director of Culinary of any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances

All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Licenses or other required certifications: Serve Safe Food Handler and First Aid Certification is required
Experience: At least two years previous experience in kitchens in hotels, hospitals, or senior living
Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Basic knife skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Fluent in the English language
- Positive attitude and the ability to work well with all people, particularly seniors
