General Purpose:
The Records Destruction Technician is a temporary position with an estimated duration of six months, and manages and executes all aspects of the records destruction process, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, firm policies, and records retention schedules. This position coordinates electronic data reviews, manages destruction workflows, and maintains detailed documentation of all destruction activities.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works effectively with the firm’s records management software to destroy records.
- Performs all destruction functions in accordance with records management standards, procedures and guidelines, as documented and directed by the Records & Information Manager.
- Maintains detailed logs and documentation of all destruction activities.
- Interfaces with firm staff and users in a professional manner and responds to destruction requests in a timely fashion to meet customer service objectives.
- Other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfil the mission and abide by the values of the organization.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
- One or more years of records management experience required; previous experience in legal records management strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with records management software and understanding of fundamental records management methodology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least forty (40) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer, file audit hardware, and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. The Denver salary rage for this position is $20.76 to $34.60 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
