Security & Transport will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of physical security and employee transport operations at Paychex India. This role ensures that employees have a safe and secure working environment, while also providing reliable, cost-efficient, and compliant transportation solutions. The incumbent will play a key leadership role in aligning local operations with Paychex global facilities strategy and compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities:Security Management
- Develop, document and implement robust security strategies across all Paychex India facilities Develop emergency response protocols and employee training to support and implement security best practices.
- Oversee physical security systems including Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), access controls andalarm systems. Coordinate with Security System vendors for maintenance, repair and upgrades in support of overall security strategy.
- Conduct routine risk assessments, safety audits, and crisis simulations to ensure preparedness. Conduct and document investigations of security related incidents to determine root cause and mitigation strategies. Coordinate with Human Resources and Paychex on-site management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local security regulations and alignment with Paychex’s global security standards.
- Serve as the point of contact with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and security vendors.
- Responsible for vetting and training of all contract employees from vendors. Develop additional training to augment vendor training as needed to address training and knowledge gaps on Paychex systems.
Transport Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end employee transportation services (daily shuttles, cabs, night-shift transport).
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and compliance norms, including employee consent processes for women working night shifts.
- Manage transport vendor contracts, monitor SLAs, and optimize cost efficiencies while ensuring safety standards.
- Drive technology adoption in transport operations (GPS tracking, route optimization, employee transport applications).
Leadership & Strategy
- Build and lead a high-performing team of transport and security staff, including vendor-managed personnel.
- Establish a business continuity and crisis management framework for transport and security functions.
- Collaborate with HR, Admin, and Global Facilities leadership to ensure seamless alignment with business priorities.
- Promote a culture of vigilance, safety, and preparedness across the employee base.
Qualifications:
Experience: 14+ years of progressive experience in transport and security management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Preferred Background: Ex-defense, paramilitary, or veteran professional with strong operational and crisis-handling experience.
Proven expertise in managing vendors, contracts, and large-scale employee transport operations.
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, Shops & Establishments Act, and workplace security regulations.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills under high-pressure situations.
