What we are looking for in a Group Therapist:
Southern Live Oak Wellness, LLC is seeking a licensed professional for a group therapist position. Acceptable licensure includes: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Associate Counselor (APC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMCW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The group therapist will have an opportunity to treat clients in a group setting. 
Responsibilities of a Group Therapist:
  • Utilize group counseling and psychotherapy to evaluate and treat emotional and mental barriers to health
  • Assess need and make decisions regarding the delivery of the appropriate individual, group, and family counseling.
  • Analyze situations and take necessary actions to provide crisis intervention.
  • Interpreting and implementing procedures appropriately regarding crisis intervention.
  • Assess and monitor client behavior
  • Report to Clinical Director any unusual incidents that should be brought to the attention of the program director
  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, and goals of Southern Live Oak Wellness, LLC.
  • High level of initiative

Minimum Qualifications for a Group Therapist:
  • Licensed eligible or licensed clinicians’ certification: LPC, LAPC, LMSW, LCSW
  • Master's degree in a counseling or counseling related field 
  • 2 years of experience in substance abuse and/or mental health treatment
    • At least one year of experience with providing group therapy
  • Ability to lead group sessions and conduct individual and Family Therapy sessions.
  • CPI and CPR/FA training highly desired
  • Group therapy experience 
  • Experience in working with mood, thought, and personality disorders in a group setting preferred but not required
