Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) is a cooperative delivering safe and reliable electric service, through people who provide exceptional support to our member-owners and the communities we serve. SSVEC is a not for profit, member‐owned distribution cooperative providing electricity to more than 60,000 services over some 4,100 miles of energized line. Located in southeastern Arizona. SSVEC is dedicated to community growth, quality of life and a positive vision for the future.

Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative is seeking qualified applicants to fill the Member Service Representative position in Sierra Vista, AZ.

The Member Service Representative (MSR) is the primary contact person responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our members.

The essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties.

• Engages with members in person or by phone to make appropriate payment arrangements or extensions in accordance with approved guidelines.
• Receives applications for all electric and miscellaneous service orders system-wide.
• Must be proficient in navigating various computer applications to address complaints and respond to inquiries related to billing, credit, capital credits, and other related matters.
• Handles the receipt and accurate posting of electronic and miscellaneous payments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related general office, customer service and cash handling experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Applicants must have a valid Arizona driver's license.
• Must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to handle challenging interactions, ensuring courteous and effective communication.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing to positively represent the cooperative and obtain the desired results.
