As the Transformation Office (TO) Lead - Commercial, you will serve as a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy. This high-impact role drives enterprise-wide revenue growth, optimizes profitability and delivers the Value Creation Plan (VCP) by partnering with Platform CEOs, CFOs, and commercial leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Business Development. You will also lead cross-platform commercial initiatives, develop new go-to-market capabilities, and foster a high-performance, commercially driven team within the Transformation Office.
This position reports to the Chief Transformation Officer and is based out of our Irvine office.
As the Transformation Office Lead - Commercial, you will have an opportunity to:
Commercial Strategy Oversight & Execution Management
- Design and execute commercial strategies to drive topline growth, market share expansion, and margin improvement across platforms.
- Oversee the commercial performance tracking of a high-profile portfolio of initiatives, ensuring clear KPIs and ROI metrics are established and met.
- Ensure consistent execution of commercial initiatives across complex, multi-initiative workstreams, including the linkage to operations and supply chain initiatives / implications.
- Lead transformation governance activities, including monthly MORs, Steer Cos, and other oversight forums to ensure alignment and progress.
- Drive transformation enablement through stakeholder alignment, communication strategy, and training to support successful change adoption.
Initiative Planning & Commercial Impact
- Own the end-to-end management of commercial initiatives, including go-to-market planning, sales enablement, and financial impact tracking.
- Partner closely with platform and functional leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Supply Chain to develop and oversee comprehensive commercial and operational plans.
Cross-Platform Commercial Projects
- Lead special initiatives that build commercial capabilities currently absent or underdeveloped in the organization.
- Collaborate with internal and external executive-level stakeholders to design and implement projects that drive commercial performance and competitive advantage as well and influence strategic decision-making through effective communication and persuasive leadership.
- Support Function Transformation
- Contribute to the transformation of support functions (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain) to enable efficient delivery of the VCP.
Talent Development & Commercial Culture Building
- Define and lead the talent agenda for building commercial acumen and growth mindset within the Transformation Office.
- Foster a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top commercial talent, positioning the TO as a key incubator for future commercial leaders.
You have:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial management, business development, management consulting, strategy, or corporate transformation, with a strong focus on revenue growth and go-to-market execution.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, cross-functional commercial initiatives with measurable financial impact (e.g., revenue growth, margin expansion, market entry).
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial strategy, sales operations, pricing, channel management, or marketing.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in commercial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tracking value realization.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior commercial and executive leaders and drive alignment across diverse functions.
- Experience in managing or contributing to large-scale commercial transformation or organizational change initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-potential commercial talent.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Passion for the outdoor recreation or consumer goods industry is a plus.
Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
