Summary: The Raw Material Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of raw material inventory, with an emphasis on metals. This role oversees material movement, warehouse replenishment, order picking, and ERP system accuracy. The position works closely with the inventory and production teams to maintain accurate stock levels, support efficient material flow, and ensure system integrity. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and knowledge of metals are strong advantages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Manage raw material inventory, with a focus on metals, ensuring accuracy in both physical storage and ERP records.
- Support production requirements by ensuring materials align with Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Issue raw materials to production orders, monitor consumption, and reconcile variances in the ERP
- Load, unload, and store pallets, utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Replenish shelves from back stock and issue materials to production as directed.
- Perform order picking and staging of raw materials for production.
- Receive inbound raw materials, verify documentation, and distribute inventory appropriately.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor raw material usage trends to support production planning and minimize shortages.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and quality teams to maintain material traceability and compliance.
- Act as a backup for other material-handling positions during absences.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives around inventory management, BOM accuracy, and production order processing.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years experience in a warehouse or inventory control environment. Strong knowledge of metals, material specifications and manufacturing requirements. Skilled in pallet jack operation. Understand of Bills of Material (BOMs), batch control, serialized inventory, and production order processes preferred. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. Strong problem solving abilities and the discipline to follow up until issues are resolved. Effective written and verbal communication skills;
Certificates and Licenses:
√ Forklift certification or the ability to become certified
Computer Skills:
√ ERP experience required: Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience strongly preferred.
Communication Skills:
Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively with other departments and organizational team members.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed. This position is not remote and must work onsite.
Physical Demands:
Requires vision (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses. Constantly manually manipulates, lifts/carries 10 pounds or less, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less. Frequently stands, walks, reaches outward, bends, lifts/carries up to 75 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Occasionally sits, reaches above shoulder, squats or kneels, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds. Ability to distinguish between color variations to perform titrations.
Environment Demands:
Exposure to heat, noise, chemicals, and moving equipment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment. Comfortable working with chemicals and in a production environment.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Must be able to read blue prints and production orders. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Ability to read technical documents, safety data sheets (SDS), and operating procedures.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must be able to do basic shop math and measurements using calipers.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
