We’re reinventing payments.
In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.

Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Pricing and Scheme Senior Manager to join our Monetisation team. This is a critical role responsible for owning, developing, and managing Dojo's end-to-end Enterprise pricing strategy, with a core focus on our Interchange Plus Plus (IC++) model.

You will be the subject matter expert on all things related to card scheme costs, interchange fees, and pricing mechanics. You will ensure our pricing is competitive, transparent, and aligned with our commercial objectives for our Enterprise segment (annual card volume > £XXm). This role requires a blend of deep technical knowledge and cross-functional leadership. This role is focusing on the UK merchant but will expand to international as we grow our non-UK footprint.

What you'll do ...

Strategic Pricing & Policy

  • Establish and own the "How Dojo does IC++" policy, defining internal controls, sign-off processes, and customer support guidelines.
  • Define, build and evolve our initial scheme and interchange rate-cards, leveraging scheme documentation, cost analysis, and clearing data.
  • Lead strategic consultations on setting and adjusting the Acquirer margin to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Account Management on pricing, positioning and how it is communicated in proposals, RFPs and merchants' queries.

Ongoing Analysis & Operations

  • Proactively monitor and interpret publications from card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) to understand and anticipate pricing changes.
  • Analyse new scheme and interchange pricing structures, reconciling them against our existing data and recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain rate card models to forecast the cost impact of rate changes on both customers and Dojo's P&L.
  • Act as the senior (2nd Line) escalation point for complex customer queries related to scheme fees and interchange pricing.
  • Ensure pricing updates and educational materials are effectively communicated to our 1st Line account management teams.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Data and Tech teams to ensure the timely and accurate submission of all interchange and scheme data updates.
  • Provide data-driven feedback and insights to Tech teams based on cost analysis and observed customer needs.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and Operations to consult on pricing strategy and cost basis changes.

What You'll Bring...

  • Extensive experience within the payments or acquiring industry.
  • Deep, technical knowledge of card scheme operations, fee structures, and the drivers of interchange and scheme fees.
  • Proven, hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and managing IC++ pricing models.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with high proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • A commercially-minded individual who can balance customer impact with company profitability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pricing concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting the payments landscape.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
