Lower School Nurse bei Methuen Public School District

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Holds a license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (M.G.L. c.  71, s. 53)
2. Holds or is eligible for licensure in School Nursing by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
3. Holds a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (after 1993 DOE regulation change).
4. Has a minimum of two years of supervised nursing experience in community health or child health prior to entry in school nursing practice.
5. Maintains certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, AED and First Aid.
6. Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for number 4.

DUTIES:  To provide professional health services and coordinate the resources of the school, home and community as they pertain to the total health of students and staff.  

SALARY:  This is a school year position with the salary negotiated according to Methuen Nurses Association Agreement.
