As a $500 million tour operator, we specialize in private guided luxury travel. We have grown 30% per year over the past two decades and are seeking an experienced marketing leader who can continue to support this growth.
The Opportunity
The Senior Vice President, Marketing will own the Kensington brand across the broader portfolio of; Tours, Yacht, Villa, Cruise, Vacations, Air and Corporate. Primarily focused on ensuring a stream of economical leads for the destination expert sales team, this role also includes loyalty, partnerships, creative, analytics, and marketing operations.
Experience in the travel industry is helpful, but overall success will be in the continued expansion and brand recognition of Kensington in the travel market.
Digital - 50% of sales and 80% of leads come from Search Engine Marketing. We are looking for continued expansion of leads from SEM despite the headwinds of AI search shifts and ever-increasing Google pricing. The successful candidate will have proven strategies and tactics to maximize the identification of target clients and generate plentiful leads for the sale team.
Agent - Our Outside Sales team of 24 business development professionals actively contact, call, and visit with travel agents and agencies across different consortia and host agencies. This team requires support with creative collateral. The successful candidate will have proven strategies and tactics for B2B sales channel.
Repeat - Small but important, our return clients are an under penetrated channel. Expanding the depth and effectiveness of attachment between our satisfied clients and brand is a key priority. The successful candidate will have proven strategies and tactics for customer loyalty, supplier co-op funding, and co-brand collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership & Positioning
- Elevate Kensington Tours into a globally recognized luxury brand with clear and sustainable differentiation.
- Develop a brand vision and voice that resonates with high-net-worth travelers, inspiring aspiration and loyalty.
- Serve as brand steward, ensuring all customer touchpoints reflect premium positioning, innovation, and design excellence.
Growth & Loyalty Marketing
- Lead customer acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies across digital and offline channels, reducing CAC and maximizing LTV.
- Drive growth marketing initiatives including performance marketing, SEO/SEM, email, affiliate, and social.
- Strengthen repeat and loyalty marketing programs, leveraging data and personalization to grow share of wallet.
Creative & Marketing Operations
- Build and scale a best-in-class in-house creative department that operates with the agility of an agency.
- Oversee content, creative design, and storytelling across channels—balancing innovation with brand consistency.
- Establish marketing operations, analytics, and performance tracking frameworks to ensure accountability and ROI.
Customer Engagement & Insights
- Leverage data, analytics, and customer insights to inform decision-making and optimize the customer journey.
- Champion a customer-first mindset, ensuring Kensington’s travelers are deeply engaged, inspired, and valued.
- Monitor market and competitive trends to anticipate shifts and seize opportunities in the evolving luxury travel space.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of senior-level marketing leadership experience in luxury brands, hospitality, travel, or top-tier agencies.
- Proven success engaging high-profile influencers, endorsements, and luxury partnerships to elevate brand awareness and desirability.
- Strong track record of driving measurable growth across digital and traditional channels.
- Expertise in brand building, storytelling, and creative strategy with a luxury sensibility.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and scaling marketing organizations.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to balance brand investment and performance marketing ROI.
- Globally minded, culturally attuned, and passionate about luxury travel and lifestyle.
