Position Description

Major/Essential Functions
- Provides case management by monitoring and tracking individual cases/progress through Maxient, email, phone, or walk-ins. Documents, inputs notes, and adds student information to Maxient and supports the Maxient administrator team as needed.
- Assists referred students in understanding University academic processes and campus resources. Connects students to appropriate campus and community resources based on individual needs.
- Promotes student advocacy by providing recommendations, ongoing assessment, and addressing emerging concerns. Facilitates transitions between campus services and external providers (e.g. Mental Health services, housing, food, etc.) and from external providers to appropriate College services.
- Provides consultation, guidance, and follow-up for employees/faculty/students/families who are working with students of concern and/or who are in crisis. Pre-assesses student behaviors as needed and connects students to campus and community resources.
- Assists and supports the Associate and/or Assistant Dean of Students with students of concern as requested (i.e. call emergency contacts, etc.). Serves as back-up to Associate and/or Assistant Dean when needed and responds to hospitalized students on weekday evenings and weekends. Participates in Dean on-call rotation as needed.
- Attends the Behavior Intervention Team, Case Management Team, and the Student Withdrawal Team meetings as needed to discuss students of concern. Represents the Office of the Dean of Students and Student Life by serving on University committees, task forces, work groups as assigned.
- Participates in and facilitates education and outreach efforts of the Office of the Dean of Students including but not limited to tabling, presentations, programs, events.
- Facilitates conflict resolution sessions to assist students who are experiencing conflict, need coaching to navigate a conflict, or require multi partial facilitation of an interpersonal conflict.
- Provides administrative support to the Office of the Dean of Students and Student Life and/or on assigned tasks. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education environment.
- Experience with administrative responsibilities.
- Versed in legal issues and concerns relating to students of concern.
- Experience in working effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and community agencies.
- Knowledgeable of and ability to interface with a broad spectrum of the institution's various constituents and stakeholders.
- Able to articulate policies/procedures in an effective manner.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution pathways or experience resolving interpersonal conflict.
