Summary:
Flatter, Inc. (Flatter) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our team in St. Louis, MO, supporting USDA loan programs and systems. This role will serve as the primary point of contact with USDA government personnel while overseeing all staff supporting USDA-related operations. The Senior Manager will provide leadership, ensure program compliance, and drive operational excellence in support of mission-critical federal loan initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison with USDA government personnel, ensuring clear communication and alignment with program objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for staff across multiple functions, including loan processing, mortgage clerks, business analysts, accountants, and administrative personnel.
- Ensure compliance with USDA policies, procedures, and applicable federal regulations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service in USDA loan program support.
- Oversee performance management, mentoring, and professional development of team members.
- Monitor program metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to USDA stakeholders.
- Support risk management, issue resolution, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements
Experience and Education:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial services, government programs, or loan operations.
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams supporting USDA loan programs and systems strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to interface with senior government officials and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of federal loan programs, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, reporting tools, and loan/accounting systems; USDA system experience (e.g., GUS) a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
