In our Sales Department, you have the opportunity to take initiative and to represent our company in the construction industry. Outside Sales Account Executive Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the daily sales operations of a building materials distribution center.
  • Work with customers and co-workers to build solid relationships based on trust and competence.
  • Able to handle detailed work quickly and correctly.
  • Support a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going on simultaneously.
  • Utilize the DMSi software Agility, for order entry, purchasing entry and customer information.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge through training and ongoing learning.  
  • Follow up all quotes and handle customer service claims in a timely manner.
  • Able to understand customer’s individual needs and goals is essential; build long-term relationships
  • Able to initiate projects and processes beyond established practices when directed.
  • Identify and maintain customer opportunities, develop strategies for closing those opportunities and following them through to a conclusion.
  • This position has variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing with an emphasis on territory management 
  • 1-2 years working in the building materials industry or a similar industry preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Clean driving record for the past 5 years
