Reporting to the Dean, the incumbent develops and deliver courses in Aviation Management program.  Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening – in person delivery in Barrie.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

•    Delivering courses in the Aviation Management programs
•    Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives in specific areas such as
o    Meteorology
o    Safety and Emergency Services
o    Airport/Airline Management
o    Navigation and Nav Aids
•    Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
•    Evaluating student progress / achievement
•    Participating in program and college activities as required
•    Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
•    Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

•    An Honours Bachelor degree in Aviation, Business Administration or related discipline
•    Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership and management capacity within private and/or public sector organization 
•    Experience managing change and leading innovation
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Commitment to life-long learning 
•    Computer literacy: MS Office
•    Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
•    Experience curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and/or student success strategies would be considered an asset
•    Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity is an asset
