Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Logistics Driver to join our team. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The Logistics Driver is responsible for general driving and hauling duties, including scheduled deliveries to any of our four ReStore locations and donation pick-ups from local donors in the Dallas area.

Essential Duties

• Operate Habitat ReStore vehicles and complete scheduled donation pickups.

• Load, unload, and move donated furniture and items with care to ensure items arrive in good condition.

• Participate in training on merchandise value and acceptability.

• Follow safe driving practices and comply with accident procedures.

• Assist warehouse staff with moving merchandise to the retail floor and warehouse.

• Clean vehicles and perform basic maintenance checks (fluids, tires, temperature, fuel).

• Follow routes and directions accurately.

• Promptly report mechanical issues and coordinate repairs with management.

• Communicate and follow instructions from the Donations Coordinator regarding routes and schedules.

• Properly store and maintain hand trucks, carts, straps, and other moving equipment.

Skills

• Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate self-motivation.

• Ability to work well with others and serve a diverse customer base.

• Availability for at least 4 days per week and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver’s License; CDL preferred but not required.

• Acceptable driving record in the state of Texas.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Capable of bending, climbing in and out of trucks on a regular basis.

• Must be able to drive a 26’ box truck, flatbed truck, or other vehicles as needed.
