The Registered Representative collects and analyzes a prospective client’s financial information, circumstances and goals and advising the prospective client about the risks and the advantages and disadvantages of various investment and insurance opportunities in light of the potential client’s individual financial picture. They will recommend to the prospective client only those securities and insurance solutions that are suitable for the prospective client’s particular financial status, objectives, risk tolerance, tax exposure, time horizon and other investment or insurance needs as analyzed by the Rep in consultation with the potential client.
This position makes recommendations for the purchase and servicing of securities, annuities, registered investment advisory products and insurance to qualified purchasers by analyzing potential client financial needs, goals, objectives, time horizons and circumstances and making recommendations regarding appropriate investment and insurance vehicles. Other duties include:
- Understand and stay apprised of all rules, regulations and policies applicable to Cetera Investment Services, including the rules, regulations and policies of MidFirst Investment Services, MidFirst Bank, Cetera Investment Services, and all State and Federal securities regulators, state Insurance Departments and self-regulatory organizations.
- Maintain effective relationships with all financial institution banking personnel in assigned markets, hold meetings, answering questions and if necessary, get involved in keeping bank personnel involved and/or trained.
- Coordinate appointments, make presentations, service existing relationships and complete all appropriate and necessary paperwork.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary and/or assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Understanding of securities and insurance products and financial planning principles consistent with licensure, registration and professional experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; presentation skills; strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities, strong interpersonal skills; PC skills, to include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation/graphic software.
- Recent proven performance in investment/insurance industry – average production for previous 3 years a minimum of $180,000 on Gross Revenue.
- Must currently be actively engaged in the investment/insurance industry.
- In good standing with all securities and insurance regulatory bodies.
- An existing book of business preferred.
- Minimum licensing qualifications:
- FINRA Series 7
- FINRA Series 66 or 63/65
- Oklahoma Life, Health & Accident
NOTE: Extensive travel to and from banking centers and lines of business within region and also to and from client meetings which might be in the client’s home, place of business or neutral location.
