JOB TITLE: Risk Associate
JOB DUTIES: Conduct quantitative analyses of information involving investment data of private institutions. Provide associate-level support to large financial institution clients by assisting them in reporting and managing complex financial instruments. Analyze risk, exposure, VaR, liquidity risk, and other risk metrics that help portfolio managers and traders make informed daily trading decisions based on their portfolio’s investment strategy and risk profile. Capture market data using APIs and research tools like SQL from Bloomberg, Reuters, and other data sources. Develop and enhance models to derive meaningful conclusions from reliable data and provide actionable insights that enable clients to measure performance and risk by asset class, region, and strategy. Perform valuations of client portfolios across all derivatives, structured products, and complex credit instruments. Collaborate with IT, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to design new risk systems that help large financial institutions effectively manage market risk. Work directly with CXOs, portfolio managers, client service, and business development teams to onboard new institutional clients. Contribute on the front-office side by developing new products, onboarding new funds, and defining Citco profitability and profit margins.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Statistics, Financial & Risk Management, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics.
2 years of experience to involve:
- Working closely with senior management on the client side to understand and analyze their product, KPIs, and deliver technical insights
- Providing Analytics services with demonstrated ability to understand the mathematics of products and provide instant answers during client meetings
- Assisting clients to design their technical reporting system
- Designing Dashboards / Business Intelligence Products for clients to give them actionable insights on their performance and risk metrics utilizing SQL or Qlik
- Managing multiple projects while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet tight client deadlines, automate processes, and meet client expectations
- Analyzing data & writing SQL, Excel, or VBA to manage and process large complex datasets
- Capturing data and providing customized ad-hoc and bespoke reports and automated dashboards with actionable insights; and
- Technical requirements: SQL, Data management, APIs, VBA, and Excel.
- Quantitative finance
- Exposure, IRR, TWRR, and MOIC for financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, real estate, credit, swaps, swaptions, and exotic financial instruments
- Working with quantitative pricing models for financial instruments including options, swaps, bonds, and exotic instruments including derivative bonds, complex options products, swaptions, and volatility options; and
- Performing risk assessments including traditional risk exposure, liquidity analysis, scenario analysis, stress tests, and VaR
ALTERNATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Alternatively, the company will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Financial & Risk Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in data analytics.
3 years of experience to involve:
