About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team in Arlington, TX. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive bids for ground-up commercial construction projects, typically exceeding $100 million in scope. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial (not civil) construction estimating, strong technical skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple high-value bids.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Review drawings, specifications, and other documents to perform quantity takeoffs (metal and concrete).
Utilize Bluebeam to analyze drawings and prepare estimates.
Develop and maintain bid documents, cost breakdowns, and proposals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in bids.
Monitor material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure accurate projections.
Use Excel to organize and manage data for estimating purposes.
Assist in developing strategies to secure high-value bids ($100M+).
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator.
Strong background in commercial construction (not civil).
Proficiency with Bluebeam and quantity takeoff for metals and concrete.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
