A Typical Day for a People and Culture Assistant with Edgewater:
Assist with pre-employment tasks such as conducting background checks and coordinating start date.
- Helps the new hire through the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary steps are completed.
- Support with new hire orientation and benefit meetings.
- Keep HR records and personnel files organized and up-to-date.
- Helps to plan and organize team member events and celebrations.
- Act as a resource for team members, answering questions about policies, benefits and systems.
- Occasionally work at front desk.
- Provide backup payroll support.
- Assist with general administrative tasks.
What you will bring:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to learn HR practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to assist with business office tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive team member experience.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.
- Familiarity with HR processes and tools (experience with HRIS systems is a plus).
- A team-oriented attitude, with a passion for supporting and engaging team members.
