Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is hiring a Wastewater Technician to join our growing team! The Wastewater Technician I will treat wastewater generated by Dynamic’s operations. They will work to ensure that Dynamic’s wastewater discharges meet applicable standards and discharge limits. The Wastewater Technician I works to ensure day-to-day company compliance with applicable environmental requirements. They will work to identify areas of improvement with the wastewater systems and implement the necessary improvements.

Responsibilities:
- Treat wastewater generated by Dynamic’s operations.
- Monitor and manage two wastewater pretreatment systems and two oil water separators across two plants to ensure compliance with associated permits.
- Obtain their Illinois Class K Wastewater Treatment License within 6-months of hire.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on the wastewater systems to ensure they continue to operate as intended and to identify potential spill risks. This includes pumps, valves, pipes, storage tanks, and sensors.
- Collect wastewater samples for compliance evaluation.
- Record metrics of wastewater treatment activities.
- A range of additional ad hoc duties to support the EHS&S team.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to readily read, understand and accurately follow operation instructions both written and verbal.
- Must demonstrate mathematical ability to perform calculations to determine various ratios, dosages, volumetric calculations that are required for the operation of the Wastewater Pretreatment System.
- Able to disassemble and reassemble air diaphragm pumps, centrifuge pumps, sump pumps.
- Use powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Able to work independently and in team settings.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
- Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
- Work in a sitting, kneeling, or crouching position continuously for up to 2 hours.
- Use non-powered tools to tighten or loosen fasteners.
- Climb, descend, and stand on ladders and stairs.
- Exposure to high noise levels and physical hazards in the manufacturing environment. Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods of time.
- Willing to work with and around cleaning chemicals and oily parts
