We have an immediate need for full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Parkstead Watertown at Black River, one of United Group’s professionally managed multi – family communicates located in Watertown, NY.  To learn more about our property, please visit:  https://blackriver.liveatparkstead.com/

Maintenance + Technical Duties

• Completes maintenance work orders – as assigned
• Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned
• Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials
• Maintains a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines
• General maintenance experience includes painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.
• Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment
• Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation
• Cleans all common areas and responsible for trash removal

Planning + Oversight + Communication

• Assesses and prioritizes all work to be performed on assigned site
• Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
• Notifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern
• Ensures quality of work duties performed
• Handles emergency situations that may arise; and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager
• Special projects and other responsibilities may be determined

Interpersonal + Safety Responsibilities

• Will be available for on-call as necessary
• Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Actively participates and follows the safety and health programs

Driving Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years driving experience is required if the position will be responsible for driving or considered to be a driving role

Job Overview + Requirements

• Job Type: Maintenance Technician; $18.00 per hour with a $1,000 Sign – On Bonus
• Work Hours:   Full Time; Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (weekend hours required as needed)
• Training for Position: preventative maintenance, safety, and related
• Physical Requirements: standing, kneeling, lifting, carrying, painting 
• Required Education: applicable work history 
• Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in residential property maintenance.
• Current and Valid Driver’s License required
• Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Ability to solve problems involving maintenance, safety, and challenging situations
