Program Manager Job Description
Beast Code is seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM) to lead and manage project resources from planning through delivery. PMs serve as the central point of contact between Account Managers, Contract Specialists, Financial Analysts, Product Owners, the Front Office, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders. They ensure that project deliverables, requirements, schedules, and meeting plans are effectively communicated and coordinated across all parties involved. Additionally, PMs provide support during the proposal process, including conducting Red Team reviews.
Program Managers typically report to a Director. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful project execution across multiple teams and stakeholders.

As a Program Manager, a typical day may include the following:
- Forecast, allocate, and monitor project resources to maintain the project cost model within acceptable Estimates at Completion (EAC).
- Anticipate team member hours at least six months in advance and continuously refine the forecast based on project progress.
- Validate and approve timesheets and advise managers on any employee timekeeping concerns.
- Manage and review project deliverables as a final quality assurance check before submission.
- Manage contract travel requirements in line with project needs.
- Engage with all stakeholders to iterate on and clarify customer requirements.
- Ensure the proper use of software project management tools.
- Oversee execution timelines, manage tasks, milestones, and deadlines, and communicate any schedule changes to stakeholders.
- Attending project reviews and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to showcase iterative product development during execution phases and gather customer feedback.
- Track project completion status, identify at-risk tasks, and develop mitigation plans to address potential issues.
- Identify resource constraints and coordinate with managers to initiate hiring activities.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with shore-based Navy maintenance facilities procedures and practice as they relate to successful maintenance execution.
- 6-years' experience managing programs/projects.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools and methodologies.
Special Consideration:
- Unanet and/or cost performance experience.
- Leading cross-functional teams to determine greatest value between vague requirements.
- Ability to travel once monthly to visit sponsor or customer face-to-face.
- Leading or understand Design Sprints.
- Understanding of Navy work brokerage, maintenance planning, maintenance execution, and maintenance reporting requirements.
- Experience with bringing on a new class of ship from new construction to underway operations.
- Ballistic Missile Submarine maintenance execution both ashore and during at-sea operations
- Ability to manage customer and end user expectation.
- Ability to provide customer requirements and feedback to company leaders for review and adjudication.

Program Manager I: $67,500.00 - $85,800.00
Program Manager II: $85,900.00 - $107,100.00
Program Manager III: $106,500.00 - $129,500.00
Program Manager IV: $119,500.00 - $141,400.00
Program Manager V: $138,200.00 - $166,600.00
Program Manager I
Work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Program Manager III
Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
Program Manager III
Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
Program Manager IV
Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role of the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
Program Manager V
Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in this area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.

- Due to the nature of our work, it is mandatory that you are a U.S. Citizen and able to comply with Government regulations.
- Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
