Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager and the Technical Process Director, the Process Leader carries out process improvement projects and supports quality and process specialists in advancing their various initiatives. They also provide operational support and ensure that knowledge is documented to enhance process understanding across all departments.

Responsibilities

Process Improvement Projects

  • Executes process improvement projects aligned with the plant’s strategic plan
  • Supports quality and process specialists in the execution of their projects
  • Facilitates workshops using a DMAIC project management approach
  • Assists in identifying improvement opportunities
  • Manages change resulting from new methods and practices

Operational Support

  • Implements new products into production
  • Acts as a technical expert: coaches operations teams
  • Oversees line start-ups
  • Participates in various operational meetings

Process Knowledge Management

  • Manages process knowledge: ensures its documentation, dissemination, and application
  • Administers and uses POKA for instructions and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Over 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience with various Lean methodologies
  • Strong interest in management and leadership
  • Effective communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written)
  • Availability to cover different work shifts as needed
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
