Additional Compensation Details:

Sanitation technicians are responsible for daily cleaning of industrial grade food processing equipment (dicing machine, flumes, spin dryers, bag sealers, etc.) Use of chemical cleaning products to thoroughly sanitize and disinfect processing room floors, walls, cutting boards, and other surfaces.  All sanitation employees are responsible for adhering to GMP’s and ensuring that surfaces are sanitized to industry standards

Essential Duties and Responsibities:

Position requires performing any combination of the following job duties:

• Able to lift up to 70lbs, 35-50 on average
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment up to 85% of the time
• Safe use of industrial grade cleaners
• Ability to wear latex and rubber gloves as needed
• Work closely with the QA and Food Safety Officer on maintaining HACCP standards
• Use of cleaning equipment, mops, brooms, sponges, scrubbers, etc.
• Assist training new hires
• Ability to read, write and speak English adequately enough to accurately maintain food safety documents and logs
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to read write and speak English fluently
• At least 1 year of previous Janitorial or Sanitation experience.

• Ability to observe and follow proper safety procedures, and a willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions.
