Position Description
The University of Saint Joseph invites applications for a Full-time Non-Tenure Track faculty position (9 or 12-month) to teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs within the Department of Nursing. The successful candidate will be a certified family nurse practitioner and have demonstrated clinical expertise and some experience in teaching and scholarship.
The ideal candidate will use evidence-based best practices in support of the education of future nurses and graduate students. The candidate will contribute to the curriculum and employ classroom, clinical, and online teaching for undergraduate and graduate students.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Earned master's degree in nursing is required.
- Licensed or eligible for license by the state of Connecticut as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of three years of experience practicing in the role of family nurse practitioner.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the University and to the highest standards of the profession of Nursing.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
- A minimum of two years of teaching in academic nursing programs with experience in curriculum development.
