Occupational Therapist – LTC/SNF - Travel Position

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) in Seattle, WA on a 13-week travel assignment. The Occupational Therapist will work with residents to improve their ability to perform daily living activities, enhance quality of life, and maintain independence in a supportive care environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience in LTC/SNF settings and is committed to providing patient-centered rehabilitative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents’ functional and cognitive abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to long-term care needs.
• Provide interventions such as ADL retraining, strength and mobility programs, and adaptive equipment training.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and safe practices.
• Document therapy sessions, progress, and modifications accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Promote resident independence, mobility, and well-being through evidence-based OT practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid OT license in Washington (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1 year of recent OT experience; LTC/SNF experience preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills.
• Compassionate approach with experience treating geriatric and long-term care populations.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
