Process Engineer, AMP-E (m/f/d)

Role Description:
Provide engineering service to the business in line with the defined processes focusing on project management, manufacturing support and continuous improvement. The main areas of responsibility are all engineering subjects related to FE / Can Forming area (coilequipment, cupper, die set, bodymaker, trimmer, necker, related tooling, toolroom). Assignment to other engineering subjects is not excluded.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for compliance with the Company Management Systems (e.g. Project, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Regulations). Responsible for compliance with latest international rules, regulations and standards. Responsible for compliance with Ardagh business.
- Pre-actively update on latest internal and external rules and regulations.
- Application of actual rules and regulations in daily business. Actively interfere on recognition of ignored rules and regulation of others.
Responsible for definition, organisation, planning, execution and finalisation of defined international projects in line with defined business processes. Responsible for planning, supervision and steering of internal and external resources during projects.
- Establish detailed specification for equipment.
- Establish cost and time plans under consideration of overall project needs.
- Close collaboration with internal and external resources to meet safety, time, cost and quality objectives.
Responsible for close collaboration with other functions like Innovation, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Quality etc.
Responsible for the standardization and harmonization of manufacturing processes and equipment across the Ardagh Metal Packaging locations.
- Request and provide information from other functions. Include other function’s information into work procedures.
- Drive the standardization approach using actively the Ardagh tool to place ABP’s and transform active ones into equipment spec’s.
Responsible to maintain and extend supplier contacts and observe the relevant market for new technologies and equipment. Responsible to initiate and execute manufacturing process and equipment improvements in line with defined business processes. Support benchmarking exercises by collecting and analyzing data and developing improvement programs. Responsible to provide manufacturing support in line with defined business processes.
- Organize regular information exchange with 3rd party via web, meeting visit or fair.
- Organize regular information exchange with internal stake holders.
- Provide full documentation of manufacturing support activities through manufacturing support work platform.
Requirements:
- A completed technical degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, production technology, or similar) or a comparable qualification
- Experience in project management and production optimization
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel and enthusiasm for intercultural collaboration
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Fluent english skills
