Location: Monticello, Illinois

Shift: Day shift

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services Lead Cook/Chef, Cold Food Prep performs a variety of patient, visitor and staff food service. This position primarily focuses on fresh food preparation for the Apple a Day Café, special functions and patient room service menu. This position helps support Prairie Fresh meal service as well. Daily, this position will also help support the food service tech by covering breaks and assisting with Room Service and dishes during that timeframe.

Requirements

Regulatory Requirements:

• Highschool or equivalent required preferred
• Current Illinois Food Protection Manager’s Certificate preferred
• Previous upscale catering experience with knowledge of quality food preparation and service, preferred

Skills:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literacy
• Competent knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment function
