We seek to hire an Architectural AutoCAD/Drafting Technician to strengthen our company culture and represent the company well while drafting new home products and working closely with team members to provide accurate plans for construction.  

The candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks:

• Support Pre-Construction/Production Team(s) in all their drafting needs. 
• Draw highly accurate construction prints (Each floor level, foundation, cross sections, elevation views, wall bracing and details to support the construction of the home plan drawn) for building permit submission and construction.
• Draw all prints in a timely manner per the Pre-Con/Drafting job schedule.
• Create preliminary sketch / design plans of custom options for buyer review / purchase. 
• Draw the plot plans from the final site plan for permits/construction with all known plan details shown (i.e. swales, easements, power lines, right of ways, etc.) and for simplified plot plan that goes to the customer.
• Revise plot plans and construction prints as additional addendums would require.
• Manage AutoCAD computer files as required.
• Visit job sites (as needed) to obtain construction knowledge of details / techniques, etc.
• Work / Communicate directly with suppliers, engineers, and engineering firms for structural details / specs, etc. (If/When Applicable)
• Communicate with the site superintendent and site manager as required for drafting related items. (If/When Applicable)
• Assist with other drafting tasks as needed. 

Requirements

Qualifications for this position include: 

• Experience in AutoCAD. 
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting required or minimum 2 year of drafting residential homes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of the current PA statewide building code/IRC, framing, and truss layouts.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work with accuracy.
• Experience with Microsoft programs and general office equipment.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
