The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss is currently hiring for our next Regional Director of Distribution Operations in our Power Solutions segment. The Regional Director of Distribution Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of our Americas distribution and channel partner network. This leader will oversee 8 direct reports and key functional areas including program management, channel development, sales enablement and operations (OPEX), virtual sales execution, and contract risk assessment. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, develop & optimize go-to-market strategies, and build high-performing partner ecosystems that drive revenue growth and customer success
The salary range for this position is $156,000 - $176,000 USD DOE. Sponsorship or relocation will not be offered for this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
Program Management
- Lead strategic initiatives and multi-divisional channel programs from concept through execution, including process management while ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
- Manage cross-functional project teams to deliver on-time and within budget.
- Monitor program KPIs, providing regular updates and improvements to enhance impact.
Channel Development
- Develop and support regional sales with channel segmentation strategies and go-to-market frameworks that optimize reach and ROI.
- Evaluate partner performance and implement tiering, incentives, and growth initiatives.
- Identify and onboard new channel partners aligned with market expansion goals.
Sales Enablement & OPEX
- Collaborate and support Sales to streamline processes, reporting, and systems that drive operational excellence.
- Manage and ensure data integrity including managing system structure of authorizations, pricing and other commercial items.
Virtual Sales Management
- Design and scale virtual sales programs to support indirect channel growth and reach underpenetrated markets.
- Integrate digital tools and platforms to enhance partner engagement, lead conversion, and pipeline acceleration.
- Drive collaboration between virtual sales, marketing, and field teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Contract Management
- Oversee contract development, negotiation, and compliance for both distribution and OEM agreements.
- Collaborate with Legal and Finance to standardize terms, minimize risk, and ensure consistency across the partner ecosystem.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date contract repository and audit trail.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales operations, channel management, or program leadership, ideally in an industrial or B2B technology environment, or having completed a Sales Leadership Development Program.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of driving measurable outcomes.
- Deep understanding of partner/channel ecosystems, incentive structures, and sales dynamics.
- Experience working and influencing stakeholders on virtual and matrixed teams across multiple geographies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
