We are seeking an accomplished Director of Casting & Talent Partnerships to join our executive team. This strategic leadership role will oversee all casting initiatives for our retail fashion brand while building and managing high-level talent relationships that drive business growth and brand equity. The position requires visionary leadership and the ability to translate creative concepts into successful casting strategies with measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Define and implement the company's overall casting and talent partnership vision and strategy
  • Serve as a key member of the executive creative team, collaborating directly with C-suite and other senior directors
  • Lead a team of casting and talent partnership professionals
  • Establish best practices and innovative approaches for talent discovery and partnership development
  • Represent the brand in industry events, panels, and high-level talent negotiations

Casting Direction:

  • Oversee all model casting for global brand campaigns, PDP / ecommerce website and digital / social content
  • Lead negotiations, final casting selection and contracts
  • Lead regular go-sees and new face searches
  • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier agencies and talent management
  • Pioneer inclusive casting strategies that position the brand as an industry leader
  • Guide creative teams on talent direction and utilization

Talent Partnerships & Business Development:

  • Develop enterprise-level talent strategies that drive significant business value
  • Negotiate and secure high-profile talent collaborations and exclusivity agreements
  • Present talent strategies to executive leadership and board members
  • Manage substantial departmental budget with P&L responsibility
  • Create innovative talent partnership models that distinguish the brand from competitors

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in casting direction and talent procurement within fashion, entertainment, or luxury sectors
  • 5+ years in senior management or director-level positions
  • Proven track record of negotiating and securing high-profile talent partnerships with measurable business impact
  • Extensive network of relationships with top agencies, management companies, and talent
  • Experience managing and developing teams
  • Strategic business acumen with ability to align creative vision with commercial objectives
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred

Note: Availability of these benefits and perks may be subject to work location & employment type and may have certain eligibility requirements.

Salary Range: $152,800.00 - $191,000.00

At J.Crew Group (JCG) we aim to pay competitively for our company’s size and industry. The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  The base salary is just one component of J.Crew Group’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes the opportunity for bonus, competitive benefits and perks.
