is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
for a young man with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
in our Employment Services - Community Integration Department

Location:

Van Nuys (San Fernando Valley)

Schedule:

Mondays - Fridays
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
(or 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

Experience:

Must have some professional or personal experience supporting individuals with special needs.

Description:

Seeking staff who has a calm demeanor - caring, confident, and patient. You will spend some time going to school with our young, male client - however, this is not an academic job and doesn't involve tutoring. Your job title is Direct Support Professional. You will provide general support (on and off campus), encouragement, guidance, and lessons in overall life skills.

Qualifications:

• 21+ years of age
• A valid driver's license (for a minimum of three years), clean driving record, and proof of valid vehicle insurance coverage (your name must be listed as an authorized driver)
• Willingness to drive with our client using your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement)
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Paid Training Provided (weekdays / daytime hours)
