About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated US Immigration Specialist who is best in class with a high IQ and a high EQ. This role offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with significant prospects for career advancement
What You'll Do:
- Manage the end-to-end US immigration process for new and existing employees, including visa applications, green cards, and work permits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and external counsel on all immigration-related matters.
- Prepare, review, and file various immigration petitions and applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all government regulations.
- Maintain and update employee immigration records, ensuring data integrity and timely action on renewals and expirations.
- Stay current on changes in US immigration law and policies, and effectively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and implement internal immigration policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Act as a liaison with external immigration counsel, coordinating on all immigration matters, including appeals and permanent residency applications.
- Manage Canadian migration processes on a minority basis for employees, including preparing and reviewing visa applications and advising on eligibility for various programs.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies.
- Proven experience in managing US immigration processes, including a strong understanding of H-1B, L-1, TN, and E-3 visa categories.
- Familiarity with the permanent residency (green card) process, including PERM, I-140, and I-485 applications.
- Experience with Canadian immigration is highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with external legal counsel, managing communications and case-related documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and effectively collaborate with employees, managers, and legal partners.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced technology or fintech company.
- Experience with global immigration, beyond just the US.
- Familiarity with immigration case management software.
