McLane Global Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / Data Analyst is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reporting and analytics solutions that provide full visibility into warehouse, transportation, and financial operations. This role will use Power BI, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP/WMS) integrations to deliver automated reports, dashboards, and insights that support operational decision-making and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automated daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports on shipments, inventory, capacity, and compliance.
- Design and maintain real-time dashboards for shipment tracking, inventory traceability (FIFO/FEFO), and recall readiness.
- Ensure reports meet contractual timelines (e.g., daily BOL uploads, two-day receipt posting).
- Connect D365 F&O, TMS, Microsoft Fabric and Azure SQL data sources into unified reporting models.
- Develop ETL workflows where needed using Power BI Dataflows or Azure Data Factory.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reconcile data across platforms.
- Support compliance audits, incident response, and exception management with custom report generation.
- Provide insights on trends, anomalies, and root cause analysis for operational issues.
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for speed, scalability, and usability.
- Ensure data refresh schedules meet reporting deadlines.
- Implement best practices for data security and access control within Power BI and Azure.
- Work closely with the IT Integration Lead, Cybersecurity Administrator, and Security Compliance Analyst to align reporting with security and compliance requirements.
- Document reporting processes, data models, and integration workflows for audit readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in BI/report development and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Azure data services.
- Experience integrating data from ERP/WMS (D365 F&O) and TMS.
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and auditability.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compliance-driven reporting environments.
- Familiarity with NIST/FISMA-aligned data security practices.
