About the Department
Our Organizational Development team has a new position to support our Organizational Development Director. In this role, you will be maintaining and optimizing the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Work involves the ability to independently support reporting, analytics, system configurations, upgrades and enhancements. Considerable knowledge of HRIS systems with experience using Dayforce and Neogov is strongly preferred. Our director is looking for someone with considerable time management skills to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously. Other job duties include understanding and interpreting data and building reports, working skill in applying human resources principles, practices and theory.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm out at Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, that is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. We offer a comprehensive benefit package to include Health Insurance after 30 days of employment, tuition reimbursement, student loan forgiveness, 12 weeks of paid paternal leave, 12 days of paid vacation, 5 personal days and accrued sick leave. This is also a pension eligible position.
Position Duties
Maintain, support and enhance the suite of HRIS products utilized by the Department. Lead internal data audits, reviews and routine reporting needs. Maintain HR data dashboards. Partner with HR, payroll, staff development and finance to analyze requirements, design solutions and provide accurate and timely reports. Support HRIS upgrades with assistance from our IT Division, enhancements and system implementations, including testing and documentation. Support HR technology adoption by providing training and consultation to internal system users. Collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve technical issues. Recommend system and process improvements. Supports annual programs, such as performance appraisals, merit, and training with associated data analytics, system configuration and reporting needs. Investigate system issues, including root cause analysis and resolution. Develops and maintains positive, respectful and professional relationships with internal and external customers. Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion in making position related decisions. Participates in emergency response activities as assigned. Maintains required training, licensure and/or certification. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to privacy laws. Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures. Available to respond to clients and/or customers, either in person or over the phone, during assigned business hours.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; and two to five years of progressively responsible HRIS or HR analytics experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Other Qualifications
Considerable skill in independently researching and analyzing facts and data in order to make recommendations; considerable skill developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers; working skill in operating a personal computer, applicable software and peripheral equipment. Eligible for a hybrid work arrangement clients and/or customers, either in person or over the phone, during assigned business hours.
